WELCOME to Barangay Moloy. A land of promise, rich culture and great people.

 

Barangay Moloy is one of the 17 Barangays of the Municipality of Surallah. It is a place situated in the Southern part of the said Municipality. It could be a place behind the river and the bushes, but definitely not a remote area.

You can reach Barangay Moloy in 15 to 20 minutes depending on the means of transportation and the speed. It is 22 Kilometers away from the center of Surallah. You can see below the map showing the exact location of Barangay Moloy with respect to its municipality.

 

Barangay Moloy could not offer you blue beaches, white sands and weird animals, but if you will go to this place, you will be greeted with a smile. The small community is the real treasure of this place. It is the people thriving there that make this small Barangay a big Paradise.

Add to that are the untapped natural resources of the place. The Allah River is one of the biggest attractions. Well, nothing’s really special about that river, you can’t see great and mighty creatures there, you can’t find stunning elements there, but for the people of Barangay Moloy, the Allah River is still the best part of Barangay Moloy because it is a deaf witness of the History of the place.

 

Barangay Moloy is not without the Allah River. It has become a friend of this Barangay, and even an enemy at some point.

This Barangay has been divided into several Puroks. This is the list of the Purok and Sitio consisting Barangay Moloy:

1. Purok Karangalan (Honor)
2. Purok Ligaya (Joy)
3. Purok Malipayon- also known as Yuis (Happiness)
4. Purok Dalisay-(Cleanliness)
5. Sitio Tapok

The Barangay is governed by a Barangay Captain and Barangay Kagawad.

Each Sitio/Purok is a paradise. There are hidden treasures in every part of Barangay Moloy, and by treasure I don’t mean the material treasure. If you think of Clean and Green, Barangay Moloy is the best. While people in some area are struggling to inhale fresh air and drink clean water, people in Moloy can freely enjoy nature’s best. It is because the place is not contaminated with pollution and other industrial elements.

There are yet undiscovered paradise in Barangay Moloy. And we would love to leave it untapped despite the threat of modernization and industrialization.
